The Gate, 1998
Trees, Woods
This piece is about "being a kid again". In front of the woods, I made the gate with wooden arches. The front arches are adult size heights. They are getting shorter in the back. When you reach the end of the gate, you have to bend your knees and touch the ground with the whole palm of your hands. Then, you will see the fairies of the woods playing with your muddy knees, and hands. The fairies will guide you into the deep, deep, deep woods.
