"What is the meaning of art?"

I am trying to find an answer to "What is the meaning of art," but I can't. "Meanings" depend on peoples' senses of worth in the society. Everybody is different, individual. It is impossible to say one thing has one meaning. Even though one dollar bill is one dollar in value, it can be a cup of coffee (which often means a lot to me), or it can be just a physical piece of paper. Art's meanings are quite various.... If the whole society was in extreme depression, the value of art would be changed dramatically. People would struggle for a bit of bread. Then what kinds of art would be survive? I don't know, but I believe art would be exist in any situation. Human nature is, in a sense, art. People always find "Meanings" for art in their own ways.

People tend to share invisible senses of pleasure, rage, fortune, grief... Perhaps, art can be a filter, filtering out impurities of daily life and pouring out pure elements to people....

As an artist, the process of creating art is important. During the process, I discover something; questing, thinking, hesitating, and expressing.... I use the same processes to learn about life and myself. It is very important to know what is going on to the world and how I am dealing with it. I see great matters of meaning in the process of creating arts. However, it is difficult to point out the meaning of the finished art works. Also, it is impossible for me to put price tag on my art. I prefer let viewers to find the values among with meanings.
