I fear to have...

Sometimes I recognize that I am thrown into confusion.... I fear to have general ideas which I have been taught since my childhood. The general ideas sometimes disturb my development. For example, if I believed I should paint with brushes, I would never use my fingers, and never know the possibilities of my finger-strokes. If I believed only fresh green trees are beautiful, I would never be able to depict the beauty of dead trees laying on the puddle in a winter scene. (I was frozen, when I discovered that kind of beauty.)

Since I started studying art, I have tried to take away general ideas and beliefs that make me inflexible.
